Dr. Niemczyk is an Assistant Professor and Director, Nurse-Midwife Program, Health Promotion & Development at the Pitt School of Nursing. She is a leader in midwifery practice and education in Pennsylvania. The grant award she received from the Jewish Healthcare Foundation will fund her project entitled, “Addressing barriers midwives face in caring for pregnant people with opioid use disorder: An engaged scholarship approach.”
