T32 Alumnus, Mehret Birru Talabi, Receives Chancellor’s Distinguished Research Scholar Award

The awardees of the Chancellor’s Distinguished Research Junior Scholar Awardees have shown considerable potential as scholars, as demonstrated by the exceptional quality of their independent contributions, and have achieved national or international recognition. Mehret Birru Talabi, MD, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh and serves as the Assistant Dean and Co-Director of the Pitt/CMU Medical Science Training Program, Director of the UPMC Women’s and Reproductive Health Rheumatology Clinic and Co-Director of ORCHID Optimizing Reproductive Outcomes Among People With Chronic Diseases). Furthermore, Dr. Talabi is the PI of a developmental research project titled “Time-Sensitive Research to Assess the Effects of Reproductive Health Policy on the Health Outcomes of People with Chronic Diseases” (R61HD113515).
